During this mandate, we had several conditions to fulfill. Indeed, the production line of this company was now to be able to reach a maximum output speed of 5000 sheets per minute. Next, we needed to minimize the 5 hours of maintenance required to go from a 250-sheet count packaging to a 500-sheet count packaging. The latter was a critical point of the project given that the product changes were once made once a month unlike today where the changes take place every 4 days. That being said, the 5 hours of maintenance are now much more significant than in the past. Following studies of the different solutions available to us, we agreed that this system should now be managed by servomotors and synchronous belts. This choice therefore allows us more flexibility in addition to offering better management of speeds, positioning, and synchronization than a pneumatic cylinder system.
